Randy E. Smith, CFP,® CIMA®

President of Fairway Financial, LLC.

Randy's mission is to help people prepare for retirement, and STAY retired. There is nothing more gratifying than to help someone design a plan, help to keep them on track and watch them enjoy their life. He is analytical by nature, but his delivery is conceptual and easy to understand. Randy is passionate about simplifying the complex for his clients and showing them how their plan is impacting and enhancing their financial lives.

His career in financial services began at a bank before entering into financial planning. Randy worked for a decade as a planner specializing in retirement income strategies for retirees. He later worked as a business consultant for Prudential to educate other financial advisors about retirement income, tax and estate planning strategies for their retiring clients.

Randy returned to financial planning after seeing his grandparents, and many other retirees struggle with the difficulties of declining health, rising health care costs, increased market volatility, and the challenges of a low-interest rate environment in their retirement years. These factors, coupled with the fact that he did not see enough advisors who could specifically address these critical needs for retirees, led him back to working directly with individuals and business owners. He acquired Fairway Financial, a business that was founded in 1997, to specifically serve the needs of those who were planning to retire or were already in retirement.

Committed to educating others, Randy has conducted hundreds of educational workshops across the country on retirement income planning and other financial topics. He enjoys providing knowledge, education, and events to inform clients, so they understand their financial picture and options.

Randy graduated with a double major in Marketing and Management earning Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of North Alabama. He later attended Christian Brothers University in Memphis to study financial planning and prep for the Certified Financial Planner™ CFP® certification.

Randy leads a very active lifestyle. When not at work, you can find him fishing, working out, attending college or NFL football games, or doing a variety of activities outdoors with his wife Susie, daughter Molly, and dog Lilly.
