Randy is passionate about helping others live well. He believes there is nothing more gratifying than helping someone design a plan and stay on track; he feels rewarded by the privilege of watching his clients live their best lives through his guidance. Randy is analytical by nature, but he ensures his delivery is conceptual and easy for others to understand.
His career in financial services began in banking before entering into financial planning. Randy worked for a decade as a planner, specializing in retirement income strategies for retirees. He later worked as a business consultant for Prudential, educating other financial advisors about retirement income, tax, and estate planning strategies for their retiring clients.
Randy returned to financial planning after seeing his grandparents and many other retirees struggle with declining health, rising health care costs, increased market volatility, and the potential challenges of a low-interest-rate environment in their retirement years. These factors, coupled with his concern that most advisors were not explicitly addressing these critical needs for retirees, led him to return to his role as a financial advisor. He acquired Fairway Financial, a business founded in 2005, to serve pre-retirees and retirees’ needs.
Committed to educating others, Randy has conducted hundreds of educational workshops across the country on retirement income planning and other crucial financial topics. He enjoys providing knowledge, education, and events to inform clients and help them understand their financial picture and options.
Randy graduated with a double major in Marketing and Management, earning a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Alabama. He later attended Christian Brothers University in Memphis to study financial planning and become a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®). He received the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation by completing the executive education program through Yale University.
The CIMA certification signifies that an individual has met initial and ongoing experience, ethical, education, and examination requirements for investment management consulting, including advanced investment management theory and application.
Randy leads an active lifestyle. When not at work, you can find him fishing, working out, attending college or NFL football games, and doing various activities outdoors with his wife Susie, daughter Molly, and dog Daisy.
